These controllers supports Modbus RTU protocol starting from 4.16 version. 

Connection features:

  *fixed communication settings 9600 8, Еven, 1
  *there is TTL tranceiver on-board, so it requires a special TTL-485 adapter. 
  *TTL RX - line has a high driving requirement of more than 50 mA, some "third-party" adapters may not work
